Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou clash in Riyadh
On Wednesday, March 6, just two days from Friday fight night between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, another heavyweight rival was in attendance and it didn't take long for things to get heated.
Former foes Fury and Francis fought last October with the UFC champ-turned-pro boxer scoring a third-round knockdown and even winning on one of the judges scorecards. Ever since, the Cameroonian has been claiming he won the fight and is desperate for another shot at the WBC ruler.
When they finally found themselves in the same room as each other for the first time since October last year, there was an immediate confrontation between the pair.
According to Andy Lee, Tyson confronted Ngannou for all the badmouthing he has been doing in interviews about him.
The trainer of Joseph Parker recounted exactly what happened to iFL TV, "Ngannou came in and Tyson pulled him up straight away and said, 'Hey you, you've been talking about me calling me a coward and yellow belly', but Ngannou, in fairness, was quite calm.
"Tyson said, 'You take care of your man and I'll take care of my man and I'll give it to you again'.
"He put it on him for a bit, but it was quite interesting."
Ngannou faces Joshua over 10 rounds this Friday, with the winner tipped to be in pole position to face the undisputed champion which will be decided between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 8.
