Tyson Fury informs fans what he weighs now and what weight he plans to fight at

Two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has been documenting his comeback since the start of the New Year and today felt that it was necessary to address some of the comments made from boxing fans pointing out that he was looking a little out of shape.

"The Gypsy King" hasn't been seen in a ring since his second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024. Despite announcing his retirement from boxing shortly after, he has now decided to continue with his career, solely on the basis that he loves to fight and not for financial gain.

Tyson Fury released a clip on social media addressing the recent feedback on his physique, "Read a few comments I'm looking a bit hench, chubby, fat... well, welcome to my world. Never been any different.

"Beat everybody with a fat belly. Never been any different. Never made any odds before, why should it make any odds today.

"I'm weighing about 20 stone at the moment, probably get down to around about under 19 [stone], maybe, for the comeback. Nice and loose and fast. Really looking forward to it.

"Been away for a while, but I'm back now. Had a year out and if I box in the first quarter, it could be up to 16 months out the ring, so it's a long time for a man 37-year-old, 38 this year.

"See if I've still got it!"

Fury has been linked to a world title fight with fellow Brit and Queensberry stablemate Fabio Wardley, who has also shown a keen interest in the fight, too. Both men traded words this week in a friendly manner, essentially admitting that they were each open to an all-British showdown for the WBO belt.

"The Gypsy King" has also been mentioned in the same breath as Russian "Lion" Arslanbek Makhmudov this week, which appears to be emerging as the frontrunner right now, especially after promoter Frank Warren's comments, agreeing, "We may do that".

The unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is in talks with Deontay Wilder for a voluntary world title defence, likely to be in America in May.

Heavyweights Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois are both looking for opponents right now, and there's been talk of the two fighting each other next, with "DDD's" manager Sam Jones being very vocal about making the matchup.

As well as Makhmudov and Wardley, Fury has also been linked with Andy Ruiz Jr. and Martin Bakole. News of his next fight is expected to be announced very soon.
