The final press conference at the Casino de Montréal set the stage for what promises to be a spectacular evening this Thursday, June 6, at Casino de Montreal in Montreal, Canada.

The packed event features two Montrealers, Steven Butler (34-4-1, 28 KOs) and Patrice Volny (8-1, 12 KOs) in a clash for the WBC Francophone middleweight title, as well as current IBO super-middleweight world champion Osleys Iglesias (10-0, 9 KOs) who will face Evgeny Shvedenko (16-1-1, 7 KOs) in a third title defence.

Despite the cancellation of the Leïla Beaudoin and Mary Spencer bouts, there are six bouts still scheduled, including three championship contests.

Two-time world title challenger Steven Butler faces countryman Patrice Volny in the main event.

Butler (34-4-1, 28 KO), a 10-year veteran, challenged Ryota Murata for the WBA middleweight world title in December 2019. After a setback against Jose de Jesus Macias in January 2021, he rebounded with four straight victories, including a second-round TKO versus Mark DeLuca.

The 28-year-old suffered a stoppage loss in his second bid for a world title against WBO champ Janibek Alimkhanuly last May, but he recovered by vanquishing Ivan Alvarez in nine rounds in November.

In March, he authored a brutal first-round knockout against Steve Rolls.

Volny (18-1, 12 KO) has scored two wins via the fast route since his only defeat, a 2021 technical decision against Esquiva Falcao.

He bounced back in May 2023 with a third-round TKO against Abraham Juarez Ramirez before stopping DeAndre Ware in 10 rounds in February.

Promoted by Eye of The Tiger, the event is sold out, but will be broadcast live from 6:30pm on Punching Grace and TVA Sports for the preliminary bouts.

Butler-Volny and undercard bouts will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 6:30pm ET / 3:30pm PT.
