Joe Joyce announces next fight in March

'The Juggernaut' Joe Joyce 16-3, (15KO) heads back to the ring on March 1st in Bournemouth, he revealed.

Despite three defeats in his last four fights, the Putney puncher is pushing on in his career.

In his last fight, July 2024, he was dropped and decisioned by Derek Chisora at the O2 in London. Prior to that he was stopped twice in back to back losses to Chinese powerhouse Zhilei Zhang.

Joyce was the WBO #1 after beating the likes of Daniel Dubois (TKO 10), Carlos Takam (TKO 6), Christian Hammer (TKO 4), and Joseph Parker (KO 11).

Before putting his WBO Interim world title on the line against Zhang, many felt that Joyce was a serious contender to either of the world champions at the time, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, due to his durability, tenacity and relentlessness.

However, his invincibility was shattered by the 'Big Bang' when he was repeatedly hit by the backhand so much that it closed his right eye shut and was forced to stop in round six.

Then, in the rematch, he was knocked out conclusively in half the time when he was dropped by a huge right hook in the third. Both fights took place in 2023, a disastrous year for 'The Juggernaut'.

The Londoner bounced back with a KO win over Kash Ali in March last year, but was brought straight back down to earth by Chisora just four months later.

The Olympic silver medallist was beaten on points 97-92, 96-94, 96-94 after being decked in the penultimate ninth round by Delboy.

Now, 'JJJ' will roll the dice one more time as he takes to the stage at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday, March 1st.
