Carl Frampton questions Tyson Fury's latest comeback

Tyson Fury is teasing another comeback, currently documenting his training in Thailand multiple times a day on social media, as he gears up for fight no.38.

The former two-time world heavyweight champion has been linked to fights with Arslanbek Makhmudov and Fabio Wardley, but his next opponent and fight date has yet to be announced.

During his storied 17-year pro career, "The Gypsy King" has announced his retirement at least half-a-dozen times, but he just keeps on coming back.

Aged 37, Fury is looking for three fights this year, even after winning every world title available and banking hundreds of millions, but why?

Carl Frampton retired from boxing in 2021 after a third defeat when bidding to become a three-weight world champion. The Belfast boxer has remained on the safe side of the ropes ever since, building up a strong reputation as an excellent pundit.

Carl sat down with The Action Network to offer an explanation into the Morecombe man's mind, “I think there's no doubt that he loves the sport. He loves to fight, and even when he retired, we've seen the footage of him. He was always running. He was always hitting bags and always doing something.

“I think it's important for him to be active and and be doing something, keep his mind occupied or whatever.

“But why does he keep coming back? I just think he loves it. I know other guys like that. It wasn't me. Towards the end of my career I was looking out and I wanted to get out and I wanted to relax and spend time with my family and not have to get up early and do the runs or not have to do the hard rounds in the gym.

“But I think Tyson's someone that just enjoys that. I think it’s the fifth time he's come out of retirement, something like that.

“I have the feeling Tyson Fury will continue to fight while the British Board of Control give him a licence.

“He just loves it.”
