American WBC, WBA and IBF super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo (34-1-0, 18KOs) will face Argentinian WBO champion Brian Castaño (17-0-1, 12KOs) in an historic fight to establish the undisputed super-welterweight champion of the world.
Once-beaten Charlo is coming off an important eighth-round knockout win over Jeison Rosario in September of last year.
Undefeated 31-year-old Castaño comes from defeating Brazilian Patrick Teixeira by decision, in an excellent fight, to win the WBO belt in February this year. Castaño is a two-time world champion having held the WBA super-welterweight strap between March 2018 to March 2019.
The fight, presented by Premier Boxing Champions, will take place on July 17 at a venue to be defined in the United States and will be broadcast on Showtime.
