Tyson Fury wants to fight Anthony Joshua in December if date with Deontay Wilder falls through

Tyson Fury believes he can stop fellow heavyweight Anthony Joshua 'within three rounds' and will take the fight in December 

Tyson Fury has offered Anthony Joshua a shot at fighting him within 2020, should his proposed fight date with Deontay Wilder collapse after initially being moved date after a clash with NFL football in Las vegas on December 19th.

The 'Gypsy King' was set to face Wilder in the final hurdle of the trilogy late in 2020, but several stumbling blocks are beginning to appear in negotiations for venue and financial arrangements due to the ongoing complications of the global pandemic.

However Fury believes that any potential failure to get the fight over the line, could open up the door for a potential war with Joshua in December despite the posssibility of no crowd in attendance and previous dismissals from both partys for the current calendar year.

The 32-year-old has urged his fellow Briton to step up to the plate and make the clash happen, and is ready to show that he is the best in the division by dismantling him in the first three rounds after his tremendous performance against 'The Bronze Bomber'.

He told talkSPORT: "Tell AJ to grow a pair and step up in December and fight,’ Fury told talkSPORT. ‘If this Wilder fight ain’t happening in December then I will step up and smash Anthony Joshua into next week. ‘I respect him because of where he’s come from and what he’s done, he’s changed his stars as a person. He’s done fantastic in his career, but there’s levels to this game and me, I’m top tier, as I’ve proved.

‘I’ve beaten two champions with 10 defences [Deontay Wilder and Wladimir Klitschko], the first time in history that’s ever been done, by me. ‘I can beat him at a boxing match, beat him on the inside, I can beat him every single day of the week. ‘There’s only one way to prove that I can’t. Come and show me that I can’t.’ When asked if Fury considers Joshua a top tier heavyweight, the Gypsy King was clear that he is not and then came the prediction for a very short night against AJ. ‘No, I think he’s a third tier heavyweight, there’s me and Wilder that can easily beat them all,’ said the WBC champion. ‘I’ll knock him out within three rounds.

‘How’s he going to get out the way of me? Is he fleet-footed enough to get out the way of me? Two or three rounds, easy. ‘He’s very vulnerable, he only needs one left hook on the head anywhere, he’s gone. Left hook in the body, he can’t take ’em. ‘You don’t have to listen to me. When this fight gets made I’ll show you what to do with a bodybuilder like him. Cut him in two.’

The 6'9 Manchester fighter also admitted that his clash with his rival Wilder may be in doubt after several issues with venue have emerged that have left promoter Bob Arum fighting for the bout to take place before the end of the year.

Arum told ESPN: "We’re moving off [December 19] because there’s five conference championship games that day and night, plus two NFL games,So we can’t go with the 19th.

"We’re looking at other dates right now because ESPN advised us, and Fox advised the PBC [Wilder’s promoters]. ‘We’re looking at the schedule – PBC, FOX, ESPN and us – to pick a date. ‘It’s definitely Allegiant Stadium [in Las Vegas]. The Raiders are on board, the city is on board, the convention authority is on board. Everybody is on board."
