Tony Bellew picks his old foe Usyk to defeat Fury: "Tyson is facing a boxer who is technically better than him"

Tony "Bomber" Bellew believes Oleksandr Usyk is superior than Tyson Fury "in every department"

Former cruiserweight world champ and British boxing legend, Tony "Bomber" Bellew, gave "The Gypsy King" Tyson Fury key advice to finally unify the heavyweight championships of the world against unbeaten Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

He also went one further by saying Anthony Joshua would knock out the scene’s top heavyweights in Fury and Wilder.

Speaking to BoyleSports - who provide the latest boxing betting - Bellew said:

The old version of Tyson Fury under Peter Fury has the best chance of defeating Usyk

"Usyk won't need to close the distance, he draws you in, he'll bring you to him. The old version of Tyson Fury under Peter Fury has the best chance of defeating Usyk. Because that version of Fury got on his back foot and used his height and reach and his awkwardness to win fights. He'd have a far better chance.

"The version of Tyson Fury under SugarHill Steward right now is an attacking, ferocious counterpuncher who presses the fight. That isn't going to beat Usyk, pressing him is exactly what he wants. It will play into his hands all day. 

"This is the first time ever that Tyson Fury is facing a boxer who is technically better than him. If Fury and Usyk were the same size, the winner of this fight would not even be up for debate. Tyson Fury would not even win a round if they were the same size and height. 

"Fury’s heavier and stronger and those are the only advantages I give him, in every department he's lesser. He doesn't have Usyk's feet, movement, or explosiveness. Fury potentially may be a better inside fighter, purely because Usyk doesn't allow people to fight that close. Whenever someone gets close to him his feet adjust and he adapts, he's got the greatest feet of any fighter ever. 

"I think Usyk will build an early lead and then make Fury chase. I think he's going to be ahead by four or five rounds and then it's going to be a chasing game for Fury. I think there will be some shaky moments for Usyk, there will be some low blows and big heavy shots. I think there will be some worrying moments for Usyk from about rounds five to nine. And then I think he dominates the championship rounds and wins a unanimous decision."

AJ vs Fury is still the biggest fight in Boxing, no matter what happens against Usyk

"Without a shadow of a doubt [we could get AJ-Fury next].  I wouldn't say it's most probable but there's a huge chance. I think Fury-Usyk could be an absolute stinker and, if it is, who is going to want to see the rematch? Even if Fury loses, who wouldn't want to see Fury-AJ? It would be the biggest fight out there. It's huge, it's astronomical.

"As long as Fury doesn't get embarrassed, it's absolutely huge. I always say AJ knocks out Fury. I just think he catches him, especially the version of AJ I'm seeing right now. I'm seeing a guy with the utmost confidence who is letting his hands go."

AJ will knock out both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder if they fight!

"AJ is evolving as a fighter and I just don't think he's been that confident - I know what he worries about, he worries about gassing. The antidote to gassing, if you're involved in a war, is to let your hands go and be free. The antidote is to knock people out. Just chin them. And that's the kind of confidence he's gaining with Ben.

"On current form AJ knocks Wilder out inside two rounds. He didn't throw a punch against Parker, I understand there's stuff going on in the background in his life, but he got in there and didn't want to fight."
