This Friday, March 13, Dragon Fire Promotions kicks off its 2026 schedule with the stacked ThunderDome 53 card, featuring six exciting championship showdowns.
In the main event, Perth prospects Ryan Daye and Jye Chin will fight for the WBC Australasia Super Middleweight Silver Title.
The undercard features a strong mix of rising prospects and championship bouts that highlight the depth of talent emerging from the Perth boxing scene.
Ryan Daye vs Jye Chin
Thunderdome 53 will be headlined by Ryan Daye and Jye Chin, with the vacant WBC Australasia Super Middleweight Silver Title on the line.
Since his debut in 2022, Ryan Daye has been a mainstay in the Perth boxing scene. He compiled an undefeated record of 6-0, which earned him a spot on the Tim Tszyu vs Joseph Spencer undercard.
Although he came up short that night, Daye kept himself busy with a stoppage win over Faturochman back in August.
In his second fight since his first defeat, Daye sets his sights on a WBC Australasian title when he comes up against Jye Chin.
Chin enters the bout with a professional record of 3–3 and is currently riding a two-fight win streak. One of those victories came in what many considered one of the best ThunderDome bouts of the year, when he defeated Rigor Angeles.
Facing Daye will be the toughest challenge of Chin’s young career so far and it will be interesting to see how he handles the power and physicality that his opponent brings on the night.
Billy Quinncroft vs Lewis Clarke
In the co-main event, WA State Cruiserweight Champion Billy Quinncroft looks to add another title to his resume when he takes on former State heavyweight champion Lewis Clarke.
This bout will mark Quinncroft’s first appearance in Perth since successfully defending his state title against Bilal Seidu ten months ago, as injuries and last-minute cancellations have kept him sidelined.
Standing in his way this time is Lewis Clarke who was victorious in two title eliminator fights against Seidu last year.
When the card was announced, it was revealed that the ANBF Cruiserweight Title would be up for grabs.
With the opportunity for each man to add another championship to their respective resumes, this matchup looks to be one of the more intriguing of the night.
Holly McMath vs Sarah Higginson III
The card also features the third fight between Holly McMath and Sarah Higginson for the WBC Australasian Interim Flyweight Title.
The two women met each other for the first time at the RAC Arena, where an accidental head clash left Higginson unable to continue, resulting in a technical decision win for McMath.
A second fight took place at ThunderDome 52, where they fought to a split draw.
On March 13, McMath and Higginson both look to close out their feud with a statement victory that could drag one of them a step closer to a WBC ranking.
Corrigan and Rennie hunt championship glory
Undefeated prospects Owen Corrigan and Sam Rennie will also look to capture championship gold in their respective weight classes.
Ireland’s Owen Corrigan has been on an impressive run since turning professional in November 2024.
Known for his heavy hands, Corrigan has built a record of 4–0 with two stoppage victories.
In only his fifth fight, Corrigan sets his sights on his first State Championship when he takes on Micah Rivetti.
Sam Rennie has also been active since debuting on ThunderDome, riding a record of 7-0.
While Corrigan has caught the attention of fans with his aggression and power, Rennie has impressed with his smooth footwork and defensive skills.
Rennie’s ability to evade punches helped him become the first boxer from the Isle of Man to win a regional championship.
With significant opportunities on the line for the fighters involved, both of these bouts are expected to play an important role in shaping the future of their rising careers.
