WBC Boxing Grand Prix: Countries with the most representatives in the semi-finals
The WBC Boxing Grand Prix held its thrilling third stage on August 13 in Saudi Arabia with the quarter-final round, where the tournament’s top boxers clashed in intense bouts to stamp their ticket to the semi-finals.
After a night full of action, South Africa emerged as the strongest nation heading into the semi-finals, with three boxers still in the competition, more than any other country.
Colombia and France follow with two representatives each, while nations like the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Australia, Ukraine, Argentina, Uzbekistan, Italy, and Mexico each have a single fighter remaining.
The semis are scheduled for October, where the finalists will aim to advance to the big night that will crown the champion of the José Sulaimán Trophy.
The South Africans are the favourites, but the level of competition shown by the other delegations promises competitive and exciting matchups.
