England's Ryan Garner (20-0, 10 KOs) was crowned the WBC Interim World Super Featherweight Champion after defeating the gritty Italian Michael Magnesi (26-3, 13 KOs) via decision in a true 12-round war held in Southampton in June.

The 28-year-old 'Piranha' is trained by Wayne Batten and managed by Frank Warren.

The undefeated talent has now won British, Commonwealth, European, WBC International and WBC Interim super-featherweight titles, placing him the WBC #1 contender to O'Shaquie Foster's crown.

Foster (25-3, 12 KOs), 32 from Texas, was in action just three weeks before Garner's fight in May. 'Ice Water' defeated challenger Raymond Ford via mixed decision in his local Houston in a defence of his WBC super-featherweight title.

Foster has held the green and gold belt at 130lbs twice, from February 2023-July 2024, and again from November 2024-present. He regained the belt by exacting revenge over Robson Conceicao, after a prior loss, both bouts happening during 2024. He originally won the title from the formidable Rey Vargas in 2023.
