Aadam Hamed joins Queensberry Promotions

Rising star Aadam Hamed (1-0, 1KO) has now joined Frank Warren's promotional stable Queensberry Promotions, following in the footsteps of his famous fighting father, Prince Naseem.

Promoter Frank Warren unveiled his new signing today, along with former undisputed super-lightweight champion, Chantelle Cameron.

The Hall of Fame promoter enthused, "Delighted to welcome these two talented boxers to Queensberry! Welcome Chantelle Cameron and Aadam Hamed."

Warren added, "Parts of his [Prince Naseem] career were the best times I had in boxing, no doubt about that. It's a privilege for me, I'm thrilled and I'm looking forward to being part of his journey. I will give him the platform to emulate... if he does a tenth of what his dad does, it's brilliant."

The youngster is a southpaw, like his pa, and has already kicked off his pro career with a knockout win on his debut last August.

Trained by Jamie Moore in Manchester, Aamad Hamed scored the first-round KO on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois in Poland on August 26.

Now aged 50, his father, Naseem Hamed, was a multiple featherweight world champion, regarded by many as one of Britain's greatest fighters of all-time. His exciting style and knockout power transcended the sport of boxing during the late 90s and early 2000s.

Also guided by Frank Warren, the superstar's legacy now lives on through his son.
