Pamela Noutcho Sawa set for maiden IBO World lightweight title defence to unbeaten challenger

Pamela Noutcho Sawa defends IBO belt to Jenny Tulcan at home in Italy

IBO World lightweight champion Pamela Noutcho Sawa (10-0, 2 KOs) will make a maiden title defence to Colombian challenger Jenny Mercedes Tulcan (14-0, 8 KOs) in Lazio, Italy on July 4.

Cameroonian-born Italian Sawa is a former European champion who became the IBO World lightweight titlist in her last fight with Karen Elizabeth Carabajal in November 2025. Pamela Noutcho defeated the experienced Argentinian on a split decision in Italy.

Her challenger, Tulcan, 36, has a perfect record so far and a fearsome 57% KO ratio. She only turned pro in November 2022, so has squeezed all 14 victories into the last three-and-a-half years.

The hard-hitting Colombian's rapid rise has resulted in her world title shot at the undefeated Italian.

Also on the bill is Mauro Forte defending his European Silver bantamweight title to fellow Italian Vincenzo Picardi.

There's another all-Italian clash between Francesco Faraoni and Giovanni Rossetti for the vacant Italian middleweight championship.

'Il Capo' Cameron made two successful title defences and went on to become undisputed at super-lightweight. Another Brit, Caroline Dubois, also made two successful defences of this same title and she too could go on to become undisputed.
