June 11 has been a day full of action over the years

There were plenty of MTK Global stars in action on this day over the years, and you can find out about everything that went down in the ‘On This Day’ series.

In 2010, an event was held at the Kings Hall in Belfast and featured Carl Frampton taking on Ian Bailey. Frampton won the fight on points after six rounds, extending his unbeaten record to 6-0 in the process.

Jamie Conlan was on the card too, as he defeated Delroy Spencer on points after four rounds to make it 3-0 in his career.

In 2011, a show took place at the Liverpool Olympia, as David Price extended his unbeaten record to 11-0 by stopping Tom Dallas in the second round.

There was a stoppage win for Derry Mathews too, as he knocked out George Watson in the first round to take his record to 28 wins and five defeats.

John Quigley and Ryan Farrag were victorious on the card too, earning points wins over Steve Gethin and Marc Callaghan respectively.

Elsewhere that evening, Ibeth Zamora fought at the Deportivo Trabajadores del Metro in Mexico, stopping Susana Cruz Perez in round three to win the vacant WBC Youth Female light-flyweight title and get the 12th win of her professional career.

In 2016, the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow hosted an event, as Kieran Smith made it 6-0 in his professional career by defeating Darryl Sharp on points after four rounds. Craig MacIntyre earned a win too, stopping Daniel Mikcleburgh in round one to extend his unbeaten record to 2-0.
