O’Shaquie Foster stops Miguel Roman at the Wild Card in LA

WBC Silver super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster (18-2, 11 KOs) halted Miguel “Mickey” Roman (62-14, 47 KOs) at the “Wild Card Boxing Club” in Los Angeles, California on November 20.

Foster surprised and suppressed Roman, from the very first round, which resulted in the Mexican fighter being floored. Mickey could not contain or effectively counter the style of elusive WBC Silver champion Foster, who knew how to keep him at arm's length.

Mickey failed to solve the riddles, given the tricky style and refined boxing of the Houston fighter. In the end, O’Shaquie was simply too much for the Mexican, asserting his power to finish him in nine rounds. He was again decked, got up and was punished. Referee Jack Reese moved in to save him.

In another fight, Mexican lightweight contender William Zepeda (22-0, 20 KOs) defeated his compatriot Roberto Ramírez (23-3-1, 16 KOs) by technical knockout in the fifth round.

The power of Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernández was once again on display as he beat Texan Eduardo ‘Thunder’ Garza by way of knockout in a 130-pound duel.

“Rocky”, represented by Promociones del Pueblo, unleashed lightning combinations that rained down on the face of ‘Thunder’ who during the first round already showed damage to the left cheekbone.

In the second round, the dominance of the Mexican increased and it was a matter of time before the knockout came. In the third round a powerful trademark left hook to the liver from ‘Rocky’ dropped him hard in a neutral corner, to hear the referee’s full ten count.
