Last Saturday in Monterrey, WBC flyweight champion Ibeth ‘La Roca’ Zamora defended her title by defeating Gabriela ‘Bonita’ Sánchez.

Sánchez fought aggressively from the first moment but the champion drew on the depth of her experience and her excellent technique to dominate the fight. “Rock of Ages.”

The judges gave the following score: Alejandro Camacho 100-90, while Moisés Melhem and Eliazar Luna gave 97-93 all in favor of Ibeth Zamora.

The judges handed in the following cards; Alejandro Camacho 100-90, while Moisés Melhem 98-92 and Eliazar Luna 99-91 all in favor of Isabel.

“Mantequillita” Napoles retains WBC Youth title

The grandson of legend José Ángel ‘Mantequilla’ Napoles, Angel ‘Mantequillita’ Napoles retained his World Boxing Council Youth Intercontinental Lightweight Championship by defeating Érik Encinia.

The combat was of alternate domain, but Napoles was improving little by little by cleverly changing his strategy to end up dominating the combat.

The judges’ cards were: Alejandro Camacho and Moisés Melhem 97-93, while Eliazar Luna gave 96-94 for a unanimous decision.
