Emanuel Odiase destroys Nick Webb in Germany
Anthony Joshua's protégé Emanuel Odiase (11-0, 9 KOs) knocked out Nick Webb (19-3, 15 KOs) in round two to claim the IBF European heavyweight title.
Odiase tried to get things going behind his jab in the opener, but he came out more aggressively in the second stanza, bringing his right hand into the mix as his confidence grew.
Chertsey's 'Wild' Webb tried to fire back, but 27-year-old Odiase intelligently made some room for himself and attacked again, dropping his man with a big right that kept him on the canvas until the referee Rene Fiebig rightfully waved it off.
Webb is 38-years-old and has now been stopped in all of his four defeats. He is a former Southern Area, IBO International, and Prizefighter heavyweight champion. His first-ever defeat came at the hands of Dave Allen in 2018, who fights tonight in Doncaster against Filip Hrgovic.
