Derek Chisora reveals 50th career fight

Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KO’s) has long been a name that has hovered in the upper echelons of heavyweight boxing.

The British fighter has been in an unprecedented number of legendary wars, from a back-and-forth scrap against Joe Joyce (16-4, 15 KO’s) - who is also planning a comeback - to two legendary wars against fellow heavyweight veteran Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KO’s). 

His most recent contest saw him come out on top against Otto Wallin (27-3, 15 KO’s), winning a hard-fought battle against the Swede. 

The Brit proved he's still got it, landing big on his dance partner throughout the contest. 

Chisora currently holds the status as IBF mandatory challenger, but with Usyk sidelined with a back injury and Joseph Parker looking likely as his next opponent, the 41-year-old has revealed he has no intention of playing the waiting game. 

“Let me tell you something,” Chisora said during an interview on Instagram. “We are going back to Manchester, 13 December, Road to 50."

The show is scheduled to be headlined by Moses Itauma; however, The Ring has revealed that there are currently no plans for the pair to meet in the ring. 

“So book your hotels, book your restaurants, me and Queensberry are coming to shut it down in Manchester,” he continued.

“Opponent will be announced soon. I had one but the big boss took him, and you can’t really argue when the big boss says what he wants so it happened.”

It's not been confirmed who Derek ‘War’ Chisora will fight in December. Frank Warren recently revealed that the 41-year-old may be forced to fight an IBF title eliminator or risk losing his ranking. 

If that is the case, Frank Sanchez will be a likely contender. The Cuban fighter was supposed to fight Efe Ajagba - as ordered by the sanctioning body - but Ajagba had to withdraw from the contest due to injury in training camp.
