Deontay Wilder announces rematch with Luis Ortiz

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has announced that he's signed a rematch with former victim Luis “King Kong” Ortiz at a date and place to be announced soon.

In a message posted on his official twitter account, Wilder announced the signing of this fight, something that was already widely expected, after he announced that his mega fight against Joshua won't be made until next year in 2019.

“To all my fans: I want to announce that Luis Ortiz and I have signed up for a rematch. The date and the site that will be announced shortly. All my controversial fights must be dealt with as soon as possible,” reiterated Wilder, who over a week ago knocked Dominic Breazeale out in the very first round.

The first battle between Wilder and Cuban Ortiz, in May of last year, ended in favor of the American by technical knockout in 10 rounds. But he himself was  close to being knocked out before being able to rally back in order to successfully defend his world crown.
