Chris Eubank Jr will appear in Guy Ritchie series 'The Gentleman'

Chris Eubank Jr joins the cast for the second series of the hugely popular Guy Ritchie TV programme, 'The Gentleman'. The show received over 40 million views in just four weeks.

The successful comedy-drama tells the story of Edward "Eddie" Horniman, the 14th Duke of Halstead, who inherits a country estate from his late father.

The synopsis for the first series reads: When aristocratic Eddie inherits the family estate, he discovers that it's home to an enormous weed empire - an its proprietors aren't gong anywhere.

Filming for the second series is underway. Vinnie Jones will reprise his role as Geoffrey Seacombe, and Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville joins the cast.

The first series heavily featured boxing, so Chris Eubank Jr will naturally play a boxer in his acting debut.

The 35-year-old Brighton boxer recently posted pics of him on set with Vinnie Jones, Guy Ritchie, and leading actor Theo James. The snaps on Instagram came not long after his emphatic victory over rival Conor Benn in April.

Guy Ritchie has an affinity with boxing and fighting, often incorporating combat sports into his work, such as when Brad Pitt played Irish gypsy Mickey in Snatch, which featured another Brighton boxer, Scott Welch.
