Five months before, Duran managed to defeat Leonard for the very first time at the height of Ray`s career,  with a brilliant, bulldozing, fiery and irresistible performance of a lifetime. It was beyond pulsating!

However, this time around, Ray Leonard would arrive completely different, keenly focused and armed with the ideal game plan, percolating  disciplined guile plus cunning, to re-conquer the WBC welterweight crown.

Rather than standing toe to toe and brawling, at which Roberto was the acknowledged maestro, Ray used his supreme boxing skill set,  to bamboozle, needle, infuriate and ultimately frustrate: “The Charge of The Light Brigade.”

This clash will forever  be remembered as, the “No Mas” fight.

Both, Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran, are considered among the best pound for pound fighters of…all time. Today, they  are also firm friends!
