Box Mania 13 full card announced - featuring four title fights
Box Mania 13 is only four weeks away
Goodwin Boxing presents Box Mania 13 at the York Hall on Saturday, September 13, featuring no less than four title clashes, supported by a talent-packed undercard.
Promoter Steve Goodwin excitedly stated, "What a night and what a show in prospect with four amazing title fights and an undercard full of former champions and potential champions. It is a night not to be missed at what will be a sold out York Hall.
He added, "It's a TV worthy show with fights that should by on the main boxing broadcast channels. Whilst you cannot watch this on TV or streaming services, you can be there!"
Joel Bartell vs Rasheed Adeyemo
Joel “The Beast” Bartell (8-1) competes for the Commonwealth Youth Middleweight title against the “Nigerian Nightmare” Rasheed Adeyemo (15-1). The winner puts himself in line for major titles.
Bartell is undefeated since signing with Goodwin Boxing and many may see him as the underdog against the ferocious 23-year-old Adeyemo, who has stopped eight of his 15 victims. His only loss came at the WBC Grand Prix and will be looking to put himself in line for a crack at the actual Commonwealth title.
Also aged 23, Bartell is making rapid progression and his only loss came against highly touted Jordan Reynolds in a fight that was without doubt too early in Joel’s career. This is Joel’s first title shot and will bring an army of supporters to raise the roof of the iconic hall in Bethnal Green.
Ahmed Hatim vs Liam Dillon
In a final eliminator for the Commonwealth Super-Lightweight title, the undefeated Ahmed Hatim (11-0) takes on former British Champion Liam Dillon (15-3-1) in a fight that will determine who gets a Commonwealth title shot.
Will it be the progressive Hatim or the vastly more experienced Dillon who earns this right? Boxing experts are split 50/50 down the middle on this. One thing for sure it will be a war and a fight to remember.
Piotr Mirga vs Logan Richardson
The English Bantamweight title is at stake when current Southern Area Champion Piotr Mirga (9-3) has his first attempt at the English title when he takes on champion Logan Richardson (6-1) in another 50/50 clash.
For Mirga it is without doubt a must win fight to get back to the TV scene having lost a brilliant fight with Nico Leivers on his first TV appearance on a Matchroom show.
Denis Denikajev vs Dean Gardner
The final title fight sees a really exciting bout for the vacant Southern Area Super-Lightweight title where former Southern Area and English Champion Denis Denikajev (14-1-2) aims to become a two weight Southern Area Champion against “Mean” Dean Gardner (10-1). This is a fight once again that the boxing pundits just cannot call.
Undercard
Former British Middleweight Champion Brad Pauls (20-2-1) aims to advance towards another major TV title shot and takes on a tough international opponent over 6 rounds.
The sensational “Dracula” Giorgio Isaila (8-0) takes on Khya Preston (1-1) at Welterweight.
Hailing from Romania but boxing out of East London with former British champion Matt Marsh, Isaila has despatched four of his eight victims inside the distance and surely it is only a matter of time before he hits the big time.
Preston on the other hand had other ideas. A title winning amateur Preston’s only loss as a professional has come against WBO European Champion Ethan James and he is coming to win.
This fight could potentially steal the show.
Balraj Khara (8-2-2) is eager to impress in the Super Middleweight division.
Undefeated since signing with Goodwin Boxing, Khara is aiming for title and takes on a tough task against Lewis Howells (3-3) from Birmingham is not coming to lose and will provide Khara with a real test.
“The Kandyman” Amar Kayani (11-1) is always exciting to watch and deserves his slot on Box Mania. He has a six-round contest before looking for a title shot towards the end of the year.
Joke Amechi (3-2) is looking for a Southern Area title shot before the end of the year after a fantastic display against the afore mentioned Piotr Mirga in his last contest. He takes on Vikas Bhardwaj (4-1-1). This is another real 50/50 and this is a career defining fight for the likeable Amechi.
Finally, the Boxing World has been awaiting the debut of Middleweight Cillian Mills. Now everyone will be able to see what the fuss is all about when he debuts against the centurian Jordan Grannum.
