Undisputed super-middleweight champion Savannah Marshall will make her MMA debut on June 8 in Newcastle.
The last time Savannah Marshall was in a boxing ring was in July 2023 when she defeated American Franchon Crews-Dezurn to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion in Manchester.
The Commonwealth Games and World Amateur champion has been boxing since the age of 12, but now, after 20 years, she has switched to the octagon to try her hand there.
She now prepares to take part in the PFL Europe event in Newcastle on June 8 where she aims to win her pro bow in mixed martial arts to set up a rematch with long-term rival Claressa Shields, this time in a cage.
The 32-year-old Brit enthused, "MMA has been so refreshing. It's exposed me to a catalogue of new moves and techniques that I can't wait to try."
