Tyson Fury hints at 2026 return from retirement

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is back on the cards

The majority of fight fans never truly believed Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KO’s) had finally hung up his gloves for good, no matter how much he preached that his fighting days were behind him.

Now it looks like fight fans were right, with ‘The Gypsy King’ taking to social media to hint towards a possible ring return in 2026. 

“The king must return to his thrown,” Fury posted on social media. 

“There is a long & lonely road that only I can walk on, but after the long & hard battles awaits immortality! Gods fighting 1man army the battle was won over 2k years ago by a man who goes by the name of Yesuar, in his holy name I march forward, 2026.”

His heavyweight revival appears to vindicate the rumours surrounding a 2026 showdown with fellow Briton Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KO’s).

A fight between the pair has been years in the making, and with neither man currently holding a world title, the winner would see their heavyweight stock skyrocket once again.

‘AJ’ is currently locked into a December 19 clash against Jake Paul in Miami, Florida.

He is a huge favourite heading into the bout, with any result other than an outstanding stoppage for the Brit likely to be deemed a failure. 

Should he come through the clash unscathed, Eddie Hearn has previously stated that Joshua is open to a potential showdown with Fury.

The former champion is currently training with Oleksandr Usyk's team in Spain, and the Ukrainian recently revealed he would be open to helping 'AJ' should he pursue a showdown with Fury.
