Tony Harrison gives back to Detroit

After Tony Harrison sadly lost his father to COVID19, instead of staying home, he took action and went out and gave help to the most needy in the community, giving away food to families in his home town Detroit.

Tony wrote a tribute to his beloved dad and trainer: “You were in a tough fight and you went the distance. The decision just didn’t go our way, but we was together every step of the way — what more could I ask!!!! My right hand forever. Get some rest pops. It ain’t goodbye just see you later!!”

Tony confirmed the death of his father in April with the above message posted through his Instagram account. Salaam died of complications from covid-19 at age 59.

Ali was also a professional boxer himself with 11 wins and seven losses during the 80's. He trained fighters for many years in his hometown of Detroit and led his son to win the WBC super welterweight title in December.

Tony and his dad have always been a an inspiration to the community, starting a gym for kids in Detroit, and helping all who asked.

The WBC said that he is a shining example of a Hero for Humanity.
