Terri Harper vs Natalie Zimmerman full fight details

Terri ‘Belter’ Harper made weight with ease today at the official pre-fight weigh-ins for tomorrow night’s GBM Sports: Harper vs Zimmerman event at Doncaster Rovers EcoPower Stadium, ready for WBO World Lightweight Championship maiden title defence.

Facing her in the headline bout of the card, which airs live worldwide on the DAZN network, is undefeated German contender Natalie Zimmerman, who tipped the scales just slightly lighter than the defending champion.

Also on weight were former world champion Maxi Hughes and his rival Archie Sharp, who will contest the WBC Silver Lightweight Championship in the chief support bout. The winner will move forward to a highly-lucrative WBC World Championship Eliminator Bout or a direct title shot, making this match one which is certain to be hard fought.

Prediction

Three-weight world champion and local heroine Terri Harper defends her lightweight championship to her WBO mandatory, Natalie Zimmermann, an unbeaten German.

For Harper, headlining her local football stadium is a dream come true, but 42-year-old Zimmermann has also shared that it has been her dream to land a fight like this. Only one's dream can come true on fight night, though.

Zimmermann is unbeaten, but also untested and inexperienced. She has yet to face an opponent with a winning record. However, she is busy and fit, spending every minute of her waking life on fitness, whether that's in boxing training, yoga, running, weights, stretching, mindfulness and wellbeing. It's her life. So she will be as fit as a fiddle and ready to go the full distance.

Harper is not only the hometown favourite, the 28-year-old is also a whole level above her challenger, having fought against the best names in the world, such as Sandy Ryan, Natasha Jones, Ivana Habazin, Alycia Baumgardner, Cecilia Braekhus and many more.

Harper will likely trump Zimmermann in every department - speed, skill, strength.

BBN predict Harper to win the fight, most likely on points, but an extra tip is for Harper to stop Zimmermann in rounds 6-10.
