At the Wat Pak Bo School in Bangkok, Thailand, former two-division champion Tenkai Tsunami (32-13-1, 19 KOs) dropped down to 105 pounds to take on Siriporn Taweesuk (43-6, 25 KOs).
Both seasoned veterans with a combined total of 95 fights, fought a fabulous, intelligent, savvy fight.
The bout started with Tenkai maintaining her distance and selectively landing accurate punches to keep 41-year-old Taweesuk at bay.
Using lateral movement and precise punches, Tenkai showed superior footwork and adroit head movement, clearly and markedly outclassing the tenacious Thai, to win a shutout on all three scorecards at 100-90.
With this win, Tsunami captures the WBC Silver straw-weight title.
