Canelo Alvarez agrees four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (62-2-2, 39KO) has signed a groundbreaking new deal with Turki Alalshikh to fight twice in 2025 and 2026.

And the best news of all is that his superfight with two-weight undisputed star Terence Crawford could be all set for this September.

Canelo-Crawford has been discussed for some time now, and it appears to be finally confirmed.

"Canelo in Riyadh in May. The big fight [against Crawford] in September then two more fights in '26. Don't mess with the lion," Alalshikh, who heads Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, said in a social media post.

'Bud' also confirmed the fight on X: "I'm waiting for Canelo in September and going to shock the worldin Riyadh Season."

Mexican Megastar

Canelo has fought on the Mexican national holidays in May and September for the past three years in a row, defeating Gennadiy Golovkin; John Ryder; Jermell Charlo; Jaime Munguia; Edgar Berlanga.

There was talk of Canelo fighting YouTuber Jake Paul next, but it appears this may now be false, which has been met with positive response from the boxing world.

Promoter, Lou Di Bella, tweeted: "No question that Canelo vs Jake Paul not happening is good for what very little is left of the integrity of boxing. The sham of that travesty being debated by casuals and written about by know-nothing, editor-assigned, rent-a-boxing-writers would have been unbearable. For that, I thank Turki Alalshikh."
