Pat Brown pro debut announced

Olympic star Pat Brown will begin his journey in the professional ranks against Vladimir Reznicek at Planet Ice in Altrincham on Friday March 28 - shown live worldwide on DAZN.

The Team GB standout put pen to paper on a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing last November and headlines in his very first pro bout at Cruiserweight against the Czech Republic's Reznicek (15-2-2, 6 KOs).

Manchester’s Brown, who is trained by Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis at the V.I.P Gym in Astley, is tipped to be one the most exciting young talents in Britain due to his heavy-handed, all-action style.

Bitter Lightweight rivals Cameron Vuong (7-0, 3 KOs) and Jordan Flynn (11-0-1, 1 KOs) will finally settle their long-standing feud in what promises to be an explosive match up at 135lbs - a showdown years in the making.

Clitheroe's undefeated Super-Middleweight Reece Farnhill (11-0, 4 KOs) defends his English Title against West Rainton's Mark Dickinson (7-1, 2 KOs) - who will be looking to bounce back from his first loss against Kazuto Takesako in Japan.

There's also action for Manchester Light-Heavyweight Conner Tudsbury, who makes his professional debut at Co-op Live next month, Warrington's former WBO Lightweight World Champion Rhiannon Dixon (10-1, 1 KO), Mancunian Super-Welterweight powerhouse William Crolla (6-0, 5 KOs) and rising Super-Middleweight talent Taylor Bevan (2-0, 2 KOs).

"Pat Brown has it all and I can't wait to get this journey started on March 28," said Matchroom Sport Chairman Eddie Hearn. "He's a huge-punching Cruiserweight and he's got massive support in and around Manchester.

"He'll be headlining a NXTGEN card on his professional debut and he's already taken over 2,000 tickets himself. He's going to be one of the biggest ticket sellers in the country and the kid can really fight.

"Cameron Vuong had a tough fight last time out against Gavin Gwynne. We want that rematch if he comes through Jordan Flynn. Mark Dickinson needs to get the win against Reece Farnhill coming off that loss in Prize Fighter in Japan. It's another top card on DAZN - the undisputed home of boxing."

Who is Vladimir Reznicek?

Vladimir Reznicek was born in Prague, Czech Republic on June 27, 1988.
