Paige Goodyear ready to ignite in Wolverhampton return

After a challenging two-year hiatus, unbeaten Paige Goodyear (4-0, 1 KO) is set to make her highly anticipated return to the ring this Friday night at the Hangar Venue in Wolverhampton.

Goodyear will face experienced opponent Bojana Libiszewska on BCB Promotions' "The Launch" event, promising an explosive comeback after overcoming significant personal and professional hurdles.

Goodyear from Sedgley, whose record stands at 4-0, is champing at the bit to get back to active competition. "I’m feeling good, it’s been a long time out the ring and I want to perform well and get back to being active again," Goodyear stated. "It was never meant to be two years away. I have had to deal with a tendon injury in my left hand which required an operation which pushed a fight date I had back and then with my Dad passing away it’s been a really tough time. I have missed not being able to spar and fight but I made a promise I would come back and Friday is the start of that."

Despite the extended layoff, Goodyear has remained focused and determined. She acknowledges the experience of her opponent but remains confident in her own abilities. "I know she has a lot of experience and she has been in with good boxers, but I know my capabilities and when I turn up I know I can perform at a high level," she affirmed. "It’s been a long camp for this fight since I was made all clear to box in December and I can’t wait to get in and blow off the cobwebs."

Goodyear’s training has been rigorous, and she’s ready to unleash her pent-up energy. "Training’s gone well, sparring has gone well and I have got that fire in my belly," she shared. "Friday I want to get the win and then back out in August, put myself back in the mix and then 2026 go for titles. It’s a massive night for me and for those who have supported and believed in me, I plan to blow the roof off the place."

"The Launch" promises a thrilling night of boxing action. The event also features the professional debuts of Callum Seedhouse and Jimmy Harty, unbeaten Tyselle Walfall, Jack Wyn Roberts and Omarah Taylor, with former Midlands Area champion Connor Parker completing the card.

Limited tickets for "The Launch" are still available, priced at £45 for general admission and £80 for VIP from the boxers directly or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com
