Diaz 2/1 favourite for next bout and Francis Ngannou is at 3/1
With the scheduled fight between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis now looking unlikely, William Hill reveals the likeliest fighters to step into the ring with Paul next.
With rumours growing of a rematch, Nate Diaz is the current 2/1 favourite to fight ‘The Problem Child’ following his defeat to Paul in 2023.
Francis Ngannou is in the next in the betting at 3/1, with Terence Crawford 5/1 to step into the crossover boxing world.
Former boxer Andre Ward is 6/1 alongside Anthony Joshua, whilst ex-UFC fighter Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is 7/1 to change the MMA wraps for boxing gloves.
Tommy Fury was victorious over Paul in 2023, and a rematch next up is priced at 8/1, while British boxing legend Carl Froch is next in the betting at 10/1.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Following reports of Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis’ boxing fight being cancelled, Nate Diaz has emerged as the most likely fighter to fight Paul next.
“He’s already fought Paul once before, and it’s 2/1 that the rematch takes place next. Francis Ngannou is 3/1 to fight Paul next, ahead of Terence Crawford (5/1) and Andre Ward (6/1).
“Anthony Joshua might fancy a go in crossover boxing, and he is 6/1 to be next in the ring to face Paul, whilst popular ex-UFC fighter Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is 7/1.”
