Who are the WBC Boxing Grand Prix semi-finalists?
The semi-finals of the WBC Boxing Grand Prix begin on October 19th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The groundbreaking new tournament is held in four different divisions: featherweight, super lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight.
BBN have reviewed the progress of each of the 16 participants who have already reached this phase.
Featherweight
Muhamet Qamili – Italy
First Phase: Defeated Igor Semonchuk (Ukraine) by unanimous decision (UD6)
Second Phase: Defeated Holy Dorgvetor (Ghana) by unanimous decision (UD6)
Third Phase: Advanced to the semifinals after an exciting battle with Troy Nash. After a hard-fought six-round battle, the bout was declared a draw and Qamili advanced via the Enhanced Scoring System.
