Liam Williams (22-2-1 17KOS) faces Andrew Robinson (24-4-1) on a Frank Warren Queensberry Promotions triple threat bill live on BT Sport on Saturday October 10th, with both fighters last fight back in 2019 so will be keen to remove any ring rust during the bout.
The card also features Anthony Cacace's (18-1) featherweight clash with Leon Woodstock (12-2) for the BBofC featherweight title, in addition to James Metcalf's (21-0) clash with Jack Flatley (16-1-1) for the commonwealth super welterweight title at the BT Sports studio.
Williams last run out was against Alantez Fox at the copper box arena back in December 2019 where he secured a comfortable fifth round stoppage and continued his outstanding record in the middleweight division.
'The Machine' has held the British middleweight title since 2018 and the WBC Silver middleweight title since 2019. He previously held the British, and Commonwealth light-middleweight titles between 2014 and 2016 and challenged once for the WBO interim light-middleweight title in 2017.
With his superb record, Williams will hope that he will have enough power and speed to overcome his opponent, 'The Lion' who's last outing was longer ago than the Welshman, having a succesful last bout against Eric Nwankwo at Walsall Town Hall winning via stoppage, and his last defeat came back in 2018 against fellow British middleweight Mark Heffron.
Both fighters have displayed throughout their careers they are more than capable of winning via stoppage, and it wlll be sure to be an explosive return for Liam Williams wh has been linked with future bouts against Chris Eubank Jr and Demetrius Andrade, so will be hoping to show aggression and claim a superb victory to remove any ring rust and make a huge statement ahead of chasing a world title shot at middleweight once again.
