Artur Beterbiev's contract with Top Rank has expired
Former undisputed world champion Artur Beterbiev (21-1, 20 KOs) has confirmed he is no longer working with Top Rank and has entered free agency.
The Russian powerhouse stated, "My contract with Top Rank expired. I’m grateful for all these years with Top Rank and want to thank them for the opportunities they gave me. I want everyone, who follow and support me, to know that I believe the best fights are ahead."
During his time with Bob Arum's Top Rank promotions, AB left a trail of destruction behind him in the 175lbs division, knocking out all his opponents in devastating fashion to become the most feared boxer on the planet.
In that time, the Montreal-based Beterbiev won his first world title in 2017, then became undisputed with victory over his biggest rival, Dmitry Bivol, in 2024. "King" Artur was crowned undisputed champion via a mixed decision win at 115-113, 116-112, 114-114.
In their rematch, just four months on in February 2025, the result was exactly the same, but reversed. Bivol won the rerun via mixed decision with scores of 115-113, 116-112, 114-114.
Where next for Beterbiev?
Despite being aged 40, "King" Artur Beterbiev will be a highly sought after fighter, with the likes of Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions, Golden Boy and PBC all looking to secure his signature for at least two or three more big fight nights.
