Promoter Burim Sylejmani now wants to take Petar Milas to the international stage
Successful evening for Fides Sports Promotion as Petar Milas (20-1, 16 KOs) impressively won his heavyweight title fight on January 10 in Germany.
In the co-main event of the big boxing night in Oberhausen, headlined by Agit Kabayel vs Damian Knyba, Milas defeated Granit Shala by KO in the 10th and final round.
Earlier, the Croatian had sent his opponent to the canvas twice and then left no doubt about his superiority.
After the fight, the winner and new IBF International titleholder expressed his satisfaction: "I am very happy about the KO victory and that I was able to show what I am capable of. I think it was a really good fight for the spectators. My goal was to stop my opponent early – that didn’t fully work in the first rounds. All the better, then, was the ending, and for the fans it was definitely a strong performance."
Fides sports promoter Burim Sylejmani also felt confirmed in his assessment: "I said we would give the answers in the ring. Petar Milas has proven that he is a super heavyweight and among the best. It was a strong performance at this big boxing night in Germany, Agit Kabayel's homecoming. We are proud of this achievement and of keeping our word – crowned by an impressive KO."
