Zepeda and Baranchyk will clash for WBC Silver title and an eliminatory

American José “Chon” Zepeda (31-2-0, 25 ko’s) and the Russian Ivan Baranchyk (20-1-0, 13 ko’s), will clash on October 3, in the “Bubble” of the MGM Grand, from Las Vegas, Nevada.

It`s an elimination match and for the WBC Silver super lightweight title, and will be broadcast on ESPN and on APNEWS.

Zepeda contested the World Boxing Council Superlight Championship against champion José Carlos Ramírez, offering a great fight and losing by majority decision.

In his most recent fight, he defeated by unanimous decision the tough former Puerto Rican world champion José “Sniper” Pedraza.

Ivan Baranchyk, a Russian based in Oklahoma who was an amateur world champion in 2009, has already been a world champion and is looking to conquer a new world crown.
