Canadian Warrior Jelena Mrdjenovich (39-10-2) is testing her talent against Mexican Marisol Corona (11-6-3) on Friday the thirteenth!
The current WBC and WBA featherweight champion, Jelena, will take on 'La Coronita' over eight-rounds at super-featherweight at the Shaw Convention Center in Edmonton, Canada, making it her third fight in a row there.
Corona has only one once in her last five fights so she will need to stay clear of Mrdjenovich's mighty left hook! However, the long-reigning unified champion (three-and-a-half-years) hasn't scored a stoppage since 2015.
The 37-year-old, born in the Northwest of Canada on June 24, 1982, comes from defending her world featherweight crowns by unanimous decision, defeating Italian challenger Vissia Trovato, on June 23.
Mrdjenovich has an outstanding record of 39 wins with 19 knockouts, 10 losses and 2 draws. Marisol Corona has a winning record but has only been involved in two title contests for the unrecognised WBF body and lost both times.
