Jamie Robinson believes he is levels above Billy Allington

Jamie 'Ginger Rocket' Robinson believes that he is levels above Billy Allington ahead of their clash on Friday's massive #MTKFightNight.

Derbyshire's Robinson (10-4-1, 3 KOs) faces former Southern Area title challenger Allington (8-1-2) at the University of Bolton Stadium, live on IFL TV.

The fight sees Essex-born Robinson, 29, return to action for the first time since December 2019, and he feels he will have far too much for 26-year-old Southerner Allington.

Global Boxing News caught up with boxer from Bolsover just days ahead of his 16th pro contest:

What do you make of your next opponent, Billy Robinson? "I know Billy Allington's only loss was in a 10-round title fight, and I'm not usually one for watching a lot of my opponent because that isn't me, but from what I have seen I believe I'm levels above. Everything he does I do better, and I can't wait to show it, so whatever he brings I'm capable of dealing with and looking class in doing so."

How has your training camp been? "I've had a really good training camp. I feel like I'm in the best shape of my career and mentally in a very good place. I'm happy, and you know what they say about a happy fighter, he's a dangerous one."

How have you managed the long layoff during this pandemic? "It's been a long 15 months since my last fight, but I have used that time to improve as a fighter, and it's all coming together perfectly."
