Ivana Habazin (22-5, 7KO), from Croatia, became the new WBC welterweight world champion, by defeating Hungarian Kinga Magyar (14-5, 2KO) via UD.
The fight was at the KC Drazen Petrovic in Zagreb, Croatia and to achieve victory, Habazin utilised a firm defense mixed with a constant attack to control the action for most of the fight, while Magyar sought after a face to face, toe to toe confrontation.
The Judges scored it 97-93, 99-92 and 98-92 so Habazin won a unanimous victory.
Ivana improves her record to 23 wins with 5 losses and 7 knockouts. The Croatian conqueror also collected the WBA Interim title in the process.
Magyar left the ring with a record of 14-5, 4 KO’s.
