Josh Kelly (16-1-1, 8KOs) clashes with Romanian Flavius Biea (24-1, 12 KOs) on Friday night, June 6, live on Channel 5.
Flavius Biea has won an IBA World middleweight title, which is an unrecognised, quite obscure governing body. However, he has also won a WBA Continental strap and, most recently, a WBC Latino super-welterweight title in his last fight in May last year, which is a respectable belt held by the likes of Kerman Lejarraga; Jorge Fortea; Jaime Munguia; Julio Cesar Chavez Jr; and Sergio Martinez.
It's reported that his amateur record was 297-19, winning three European titles and eight national titles, so he is incredibly experienced and schooled.
Josh Kelly also has who has a wealth of experience in boxing, competing in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2015 European Games, where he won a bronze medal, representing Great Britain.
As a pro, "Pretty Boy" Kelly has held the British super-welterweight title and the Commonwealth welterweight title. His sole career defeat came in 2021 when he jumped up in levels a little too soon against David Avanesyan, losing via sixth-round stoppage. He has since gone on to win six on the spin.
PBK believes that everyone in the UK at 154 lbs is avoiding in him and perhaps that shows in his lack of activity and momentum, fighting just once last year.
However, he is ranked in IBF #4, WBC #11, WBO #4, IBO #10 Kelly has promised that it will be beautiful and brutal display from him in this next fight, so this could be a fantastic fight for fans on Friday night.

Tim Rickson, BBN Editor: "Flavius Biea has forced his last two foes to retire, so he deserves respect, plus he has experienced 148 professional rounds of boxing over 25 bouts, so he has an advantage in experience over Kelly. His amateur record of over 300 fights sounds quite incredible too. He is front-foot fighter, so he will be aggressive, looking to take the fight to Kelly, which could really play into the slickster's hands.
