Carlos "Triple C" Cañizales faces Iván García for WBC Silver glory
Venezuelan Carlos "Triple C" Cañizales (26-2-1, 19KO) fights Mexican Iván García (12-2-1, 4KO) for the WBC Silver light flyweight belt on Friday evening, July 19, at the Poliedro de Caracas.
It’s the main event, in a welcome return of an international card to Venezuela, and will be supervised by the Venezuelan National Professional Boxing Commission.
Cañizales will enter the ring for the second time this year. In January he lost by majority decision against WBC light-flyweight champion Kenshiro Teraji (23-1).
García will return to Venezuela after drawing against Rodrigo Ramírez at the end of 2023. He won by unanimous decision against Pedro Delgado Gaytan (10-1) in April.
