German heavyweight prospect Albon Pervizaj faces Ilja Mezencev in ring return

In the legendary Gold's Gym, Albon Pervizaj will step back into the ring after almost three years off to face the face the experienced Ilja Mezencev on a Fides Sports Promotion event on June 21 in Berlin.

Managed by Burim Sylejmani, Albon Pervizaj and Ilja Mezencev will clash in the main event.

For Pervizaj, this is the first fight since July 2022, and will be a pivotal moment in the context of his comeback under his new sports management company. Pervizaj signed with Fides Sports in March this year, after taking some time off from the sport to get his personal life in order.

The 29-year-old explained his absence, “I deliberately withdrew in order to make myself economically independent and to be able to take my career into my own hands. I was tired of people’s empty promises.

“I know what I can do and what I’m capable of. I finally have a starting situation in which I feel comfortable and build on it. I’m not boxing right now to finance myself or to secure my life. I really only box out of conviction and love for the sport. It’s very good for me, mentally.”

The lineup also includes Petar Milas, Elvis Hetemi, Chamseddine Lemjid, Miridon Mulolli, Elvis Hetemi, Kastriot Sopa, Chamseddine Lemjid, Miridon Mulolli, and Kastriot Sopa – all highly motivated to make a strong impression on the night.

A total of 12 fights are planned, guaranteeing an exciting night of boxing for the fight fans.

The event titled 'The Show Must Go On IV' is produced in cooperation with Ali Fight Club .

Fides promoter Burim Sylejmani is looking forward to the evening, "For us, this is the start of a new era. Berlin provides the perfect setting to showcase our talents on a big stage.

Ali Ak added: "Burim and I have known each other for a long time, so I am even more excited that we are organizing this together. In addition to the Fides fighters, I will send a few guys from 'Ali's Fight Club' into the ring, including some debutants."
