Russian contender Evgeny Romanov defeated compatriot Dmitry Kudryashov by unanimous decision over 12 rounds, in a WBC bridger elimination match, where the division’s Silver title was also at stake, at the Khimki Basketball Center in Russia.
Romanov (16-0, 11 KOs) dominated most of the fight, with better boxing and solid defense, over Kudryashov (24-4, 23 KOs), who ran out of energy as the fight progressed.
On the same card, Russia’s Magomed Madiev (15-0-2) defeated Maxim Voshkov (9-1-1) by unanimous decision over 10 rounds to capture the vacant WBC Middleweight Silver international title.
In another bout, Ivan Kozlovsky (3-0) defeated Adam Kipenga (11-2) by unanimous decision in 10 rounds to win the WBC international super lightweight belt.
