Errol Spence to fight Tim Tszyu as Jermell Charlo also chases a showdown

Former world champion Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KO’s) may be linked to a ring return

Errol Spence (28-1, 22 KO’s), who once sat atop the welterweight rankings, has been absent from the ring since his devastating defeat to the recently retired Terence Crawford in July 2023.

However, it now looks as though the Americans' near three-year hiatus may be coming to an end.

He has recently been linked to a comeback fight against former super welterweight champion Tim Tszyu in June.

The news, which was reported by the Ring Magazine, would see Spence headline PBC on Prime Video, and is being touted to land on either June 6 or 13.

Tsyu has lost three of his last for fight, after rising to the top of the boxing world - enjoying an 24 fight, unbeaten start to his career.

Like Spence, he was widely regarded as a top talent, so his recent fall from grace has come as a shock to the boxing world.

However, news of Spence's return has not fallen on deaf ears, and as a result, Tsyu is not the only man who appears keen to face the former undiluted challenger.

Jermell Charlo recently called out his countryman, with Spence quick poke fun at the 35-year-old, labelling Charlo's move a money grab.

“I mean, Canelo gone, Terence gone, so who else he gonna get a big payday from?” Spence told FightHype.

“That’s the only reason he called me out, because everybody know how the sparring went. His coach know how the sparring went, everybody in the gym know how the sparring went. Hey, man, he wants some money.”
