Main Event

DAVID AVANESYAN vs JOSH KELLY

Tentative early stages as both fighters sieze their rythm in a huge contest for each for the European title. Kelly looked to use his fast hands and superb skillset early on ducking and weaving to try and pick his punches against the wily Russian Avanesyan. Fast exchanges opened up later into the opener, with Kelly looking to get under his opponent's feet and try to rattle his opponent, who slid away neatly.

Both men continued at a high tempo in the second with Avanesyan trying to switch up his stances to catch Kelly off guard, but Kelly read it well and he nailed Avanesyan with a clean left hook with a minute left followed by a barrage of shots, but Avanesyan ducked out of the situation on the ropes. Kelly has blood pouring on the back of the head after a potential clash in the high paced tempo of the fight.

Another bright start to the round for Kelly who showcased his speed and technique once again, which Avanesyan tried his best to deal with slipping and rolling away while trying to hold him at bay with a stiff jab. The round continued at a gruelling pace, but Kelly appeared to have the early upper hand despite the appearing of a few cuts, moving very well.

Avanesyan started to work the body well, trying to take the sting out of the speed in the fourth, with Avanesyan trying to wrestle his way back into the fight backing PBK into the corner who used his speed and agility to escape and continue to trade.

The Russian fighter started to stamp his authority sensing the uncertainty around the cut of Kelly who had injuries around the eye and the bac k of the head in the sixth but Kelly remained composed using his speed and positivity to keep moving around and remain well in the contest.

Avanesyan secured his pressure a knockdown in the sixth, with the cut severely causing pressure on the Kelly resolve and the British fighter could take no more and the towel came in from Adam Booth in the PBK corner.

David Avanesyan secured the sixth round stoppage victory over Josh Kelly to remain European welterweight champion.

FLORIAN MARKU vs RYLAN  CHARLTON

The fight started brightly with Charlton straight out of the blocks looking to put Marku on the back foot early on, but the Albanian started positively also, responding well with some neat shots of his own evading the nice double jab of Charlton. Marku appeared to have the better of the openign exchanges despite the aggression from his British opponent early on.

A quick start from Marku in the second landing some swift single shot power after the opening bell, as the pair traded blows and words in the ring. Marku used his quick hands to his advantage in the round, landing his jab flush on Charlton frequently and using his leading left well.

 Marku continued to eat away at his opponent with fast hands in the third, finding some gaps in the guard of Charlton with neat combinations and mixing up the angles. The Albanian continued to put some swift shots together picking off the Norwich fighter, who tried to aggresively attack the body of his opponent whipping in powerful hooks which appeared to do little damage to the persistant Marku.

The fight continued in a similar vein, with Charlton seemingly linear in his approach trying to smash his way through the guard and work thew body, while Mraku stalked his way around the edge. Then, Marku rocked Charlton with a swift combination but the latter was saved by the final bell in the fourth.

Charlton continued to struggle with Marku's pace as he strung together more powerful combinations in the fifth, with Charlton seeming slightly dazed by the power. The Norwich fighter continued to try and fire back against Marku, but the fan favourite looked relaxed and moved well around the outside, taunting his opponent.

The Norwich fighter sent Marku shocked down to the canvas with a heavy attack to the body, handing Charlton a much needed 10-8 round in the welterweight contest. It appeared to give Charlton confidence who started to come forward and put pressure onto the Albanian sensing he is still in the contest.

Another good round for both fighters as they each enjoy a spell of positive pressure in the seventh both sensing that the fight could end up going either way by the final bell. Charlton appeared rocked on the final bell after being caught by a sharp left hook from Marku.

Florian Marku gained his foothold in the eighth round and after continuous pressure the towel came in from the Charlton corner and Marku recieved the stoppage victory.

Florian Marku remains undefeated after an eighth round stoppage victory over Rylan Charlton in a ten round welterweight contest.

 

Fight #3

10 x 3 mins vacant IBF Intercontinental Super-Lightweight Title
ROBBIE DAVIES JR vs GABRIEL VALENZUELA

Both men started positively and on the front foot, exchanging speedily in the centre of the ring with clinching heavily present in the first round as Davies Jr looked to land the powerful left hook in the opening round. Valenzuela showed some good hand speed and a positive mindset early on not fazed by his more experienced opponent.

Some firm exchanges continued in the second round, with Valenzuela trained by Eddy Reynoso seemingly keen to go toe-toe-toe with his opponent rocking Davies Jr back into the ropes with the Liverpool fighter seemingly off balance and caught squared up as the Mexican maintained the centre of the ring.

The third round progressed similarly, as Davies Jr ate a firm right shot early on despite counter punching well and trying to find the angles. Valenzuela continued to try and beat his opponent to the punch, using fast hands and mixed combinations to try and get around the sturdy jab of Davies Jr. Valenzuela then scored a knockdown of his opponent just before the bell as he sent the Liverpool warrior sprawling to the canvas winning a 10-8 round.

Valenzuela had a cut open up in the fourth round, appearing to trickle with blood around the left eye after recieving several warnings from the referee leading to a one point deduction.

A couple of better rounds from Davies Jr  as his shot selection and neat jab continued to come to fruition in the fight, starting to negate Valenzuela's early pressure as the fight rumbled on in London. A very even fight began to emerge with scorecards relatively even going into the seventh.

Valenzuela came on strong once again using his right hand several times to hurt his opponent, who began to look tired and frustrated in the ring. The Mexican clearly believes that he can chase a stoppage and is applying the pressure in the later stages.

A tough championship round as both fighters tried to leave everything on the line, in the centre of the ring following a similar pattern as Davies Jr boxed well but was caught once again by a swift right hand and appeared rocked until the last bell.

Gabriel Valenzuela wins by majority decision to become the new IBF inter-continental super lightweight champion.

 

Fight #2

4 x 3 mins Heavyweight contest
JOHNNY FISHER vs MATT GORDON 

Fisher looked to unload early on in the contest clearly keen to make a statement in the opening round, switching up and down with some heavy unloaded shots with Gordon looking to cover up well and try to ride out the barrage of power. He then found the gap knocking down his opponent with thirty seconds left in the round. Straight from the knockdown, he came flying out attacking his opponent sending his opponent to the canvas for the second time. The referee called the fight and Johnny Fisher had his victory.

Johnny Fisher recorded an early stoppage victory over Matt Gordon on heavyweight debut.

 

Fight #1

10 x 3 mins vacant WBA International Featherweight Title
JORDAN GILL vs CESAR JUAREZ 

The first round opened up cagily in the early stages with Juarez coming forward with both hands up and trying to put the pressure on Gill, as the Briton tried to work the edges of the ring landing some neat combinations and using his jab neatly to exploit the gaps. Gill appeared in control taking his time and manouevring his way around any oncoming stiff shots from his Mexican opponent.

Gill continued to move well in the second, working the body well as Juarez approached taking the wind out of any aggression, but Juarez tried his best to rough his opponent up with a possible few late shots on the referee's break orders. Largely swinging and missing, the Mexican found it hard to progress past single punch power shots as Gill evaded any damage of note in the early rounds.

The Briton continued to use a jab as a weapon, but Juarez continued to plug away blocking any counter shots by Gill and continuing to march forward and swing for big damaging shots. Juarez continued to show good high tempo and work rate early on, making Gill continue to persist on the back foot and have to evade several single shot advances.

Juarez continued an aggressive approach in round four attacking the body viciously with his lead left shots, and continuosly back Gill up who fired away neatly with the counter and landed several jabs through the guard. Some heavy body shots were fired from Juarez once again later in the round, producing a really good contest between two game fighters as the halfway stage drew closer.

A superb round for Juarez who flew in near the final bell, smashing a barrrage of heavy shots to the head unloading all his energy on Gill who tried to slip in and out of the shots and get out of the corner, but Gill overall boxed well in the round despite the assault near the end.

Gill continued to box well however, working well in the seventh landing some sharp shots through the guard but Juarez appeared unfazed and continued to trade on the most part despite the neat boxing technique from the British fighter.

The final round followed a similar pattern, with Gill using his jab to keep the distance and pick holes in the constant aggression and onslaught of punches from his relentless opponent. He worked the angles well moving between the shots, despite some wild looking swings flying into the body.

Jordan Gill defeats Cesar Juarez by unanimous decision to gain the WBA international featherweight title with scorecards at 98-92, 98-93, 96-94.
