Dave Allen has to beat Arslanbek Makhmudov to secure dream fight

"The White Rhino" Dave Allen is scheduled to take on Arslanbek Makhmudov in his next outing, reportedly on October 11 in Sheffield, live on DAZN.

Despite it being potentially the hardest fight of his 12-year pro career so far, the 33-year-old from Conisbrough is already looking ahead to what a win over the Russian Lion could for him.

Promoter Eddie Hearn told IFL TV: "I've given him a list of fighters. He's chosen the biggest puncher and the most dangerous one of the whole list.

"And he goes, 'If I beat him, what will happen?' I said, 'Honestly, you will get a massive fight, probably a seven-figure fight if you win this fight. And he goes, 'I'm in'."

Allen has been strongly linked to a fight with Deontay Wilder, who is just one fight into his comeback campaign. Anthony Joshua is looking for an opponent for his comeback fight, rumoured for November-December time, which would be an easy fight for the Matchroom boss to make.

Allen won his first-ever professional title when he KO'd Johnny Fisher in May. Allen stopped "The Romford Bull" in the fifth round of their Copper Box headliner to lift the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title.
