Canelo vs Christian Mbilli for the WBC super-middleweight title is being planned for September, according to reports from The Ring Magazine.

Canelo often fights on Cinco de Mayo in May and Independence Day in September, which is on the 16th.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) hasn't fought since his defeat to Terence Crawford in September 2025. That night in Las Vegas, he lost his undisputed super-middleweight titles to 'Bud', who made history as the first male boxer in history to become a three-weight undisputed world champion in a four-belt era.
