“Big Lewis” Clarke headlines against “Black Hulk” in Thunderdome 52 main event

Rising Australian prospect “Big Lewis” Clarke (8-2, 4 KOs) returns to the ring on November 28th at Metro City in Perth in his quest to prove he is Australia's best cruiserweight in the main event of Thunderdome 52.

Clarke rematches Perth's Bilal Seidu (2-2-1, 1 KO), better known as the “Black Hulk”, from their August showdown which resulted in a split decision victory to Clarke. This time, the stakes are greater as the return fixture will be for the Interim Western Australian Cruiserweight Championship, a title Clarke has already claimed at heavyweight.

Clarkes opened up about all things boxing, “It’s been a great year in boxing terms for me, competing in the highest level in Saudi Arabia against a former Ukrainian Olympian, 10 years my elder, who was a sparring partner for the P4P #1 Oleksandr Usyk. It's still a pinch myself moment knowing I got to live out that experience so young in my career and it’s a memory I will never forget.

“Then, boxing again internationally in Thailand where I learnt so much training under a top Russian coach. Now I’m aiming to finish the year on a high in another exciting fight with a dangerous local fighter in Bilal, a rematch where our first fight was labelled a fight of the year contender by my manager Tony Tolj, who has guided me and believed in me since I was an 18-year-old kid with no amateur background.

“My opponent, Bilal, is a very strong fighter who fights with a lot of heart, like myself, we could fight 10 times and they would be 10 great fights. I respect him very much.

“My preparation for the rematch is going well; boxing is a brutal sport and it makes you question yourself physically and mentally, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I’m surrounded by great people and stable mates who are also fighting on Thunderdome 52 my good mate Sam Rennie who is a quality boxer and Owen Corrigan, who has also got a tough rematch.

“I don’t have a message for bilal or any opponent I share the ring with we can say whatever we want but at the end of the day we all step through the ropes and do the talking with our hands.”

He concluded, “I want to thank my supporters for there years of support I’m blown away every time I walk in and out of the ring I’m glad we have got the main event slot this time round as I believe my supporters are some of the loudest at the shows, and I will fight with everything I have in return for them no matter who is standing across the ring from me.”

Promoter Tony Tolj also discussed the upcoming clash and Thunderdome 52 event, “This is a massive show and we will be finishing off the year with a BANG! 14 Fights.

“Lewis and Hulk left everything they could in the ring in their first fight and was a split decision. Clarke is all class and said the first fight was great and wanted to give Bilal another shot. I'm getting excited as we speak and to honour both fellas this is the fight that deserves main event billing. November 28th, lets go!”
