Tim Rickson, BBN Editor: "Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez is the favourite, naturally, as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.
"But the defending WBA champion is well prepared, he has already voiced how hard he has worked for this fight because he knows what he is up against, so no stone has been unturned.
"Bam's skillset, speed and southpaw angles will see him land on Vargas, who is tough enough to go the distance, but Bam's last five fights have all ended via KO, so I think that will be yet another outcome in this fight. No disrespect to Vargas because he is a fantastic champion, but Bam is just something special and on an upwards trajectory.
