Anthony Joshua is just one fight away from securing a showdown with fellow British world-class heavyweight Tyson Fury in 2021, but must take on one more test before he propels himself into stardom and a shot at becoming undisputed heavyweight king of the world.

The SSE Arena in Wembley plays host to the Heavyweight World Title clash between unified champion Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) and IBF mandatory Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs), live on Sky Sports Box Office and DAZN in the UK.

Tentative early stages from both fighters as they tried to open up the fight with swift movement and feinting as Anthony Joshua used his jab well in the opening stages, with ring rust clearly present during the first two rounds.

The fighters exchanged words at the bell, as both fighters started to open up with some quicker exchanges and a higher tempo as Joshua continues to try and keep the distance and jabbing to the body well.

Joshua landed some huge shots in the third, with two knockdowns on Kubrat Pulev in the third stanza.

A superb fight going into the seventh as AJ cannot quite find the shots to get Pulev out but continues to dominate despite Pulev staying with him and surviving and trying to land his own shots.

Anthony Joshua records a tremendous stoppage victory over Kubrat Pulev to retain his unified heavyweight titles.

Okolie started beginning to use his reach well and keep the distance in the early stages, but then an early body shot from Okolie resulted in the first knockdown with a stiff right to the body. The Jezewski wobbled again after another swift right hand from Okolie.

Another knockdown from Okolie  as he lands another swift right hand sending the balance and legs wobbling of Jezewski once again. His legs seemed to be all over the place as he tried to withstand the early pressure.

With more power on show in the second as he scores another kncokdown on the Polish fighter and the referee calls the fight off and Okolie gets his stoppage.

Lawrence Okolie scores a stoppage against Nikodem Jezewski in the second round to earn the vacant WBO Cruiserweight world title.

In the eighth round, Kieron Conway dropped Macaulay Mcgowan after concerted pressure throughout the fight with a swift right hand scoring him a 10-8 round in the eighth, and Conway's nose extremely bloodied.

The punishment continued in the eighth with McGowan looking as if he was clinging on against the constant pressure of Kieron Conway.

A consistent battering of shots continued, as many shouts appeared to look towards the corner about potentially pulling McGowan out of the contest due to a persistent

Bakole started well trying to be on the front foot in a fairly even opening round, landing the better shots in the opening stanza and getting his own shots in range.

The Congo fighter started to box well with his jab landing it at will to the body and straight through the guard, as Bakole landed a good right hand and piled the pressure onto Kuzmin but could not gain an advantage, but Kuzmin continued to survive and throw his own right hands back well to make the fight into a relatively good brawl in the second. Kuzmin continued to try and load up in response to the early pressure applied by Bakole.

An even start to the third round proceeded with neither fighter really landing anything of note but Bakole remained the busier fighter using the jab and reach advantage well to seperate himself from Kuzmin on the scorecards. The fight seemed to be more of a chess match going into the fourth.

Bakole seemed to take some damage of his own in the fifth, as Kuzmin started to throw back with some strong shots of his own.

The fight continued to hold a fairly even pattern with Bakole trying to be patient and work the angles while using his jab to continue to try and be the more active fighter and stay ahead on the scorecards going into the eighth.

With the fight starting to open up, Bakole landed a couple of flush right hands at the start of the round but Kuzmin fought back later in the round with some shots on the inside of his own in the eighth. Both fighters may have felt they needed a stoppage going into the final two rounds.

With the closing stages emerging cagey and patient, the fight seemed to be continuing in Bakole's hands with the distance and the jabbing contest seeming to favour his own personal attempts at winning the fight.

HUGHIE FURY 17st 9lbs 5oz v MARIUSZ WACH 19st 8lbs 6oz

Hughie Fury set up in the centre of the ring from the start of the fight, with both fighters starting well and landing their own shots in the cagey opening round.

A real brawl seemed to be appearing as Wach threw some shots back of his own, using his experience against fighters to try and clinch and avoid any real contact dogfights in the centre of the ring.

After a late shot on the bell from Fury, the fight continued to be an intriguing chess match between the two as both fighters had scrappy spells in the third round.

Hughie Fury landed some swift early right hands as the bell rang at the start of the fourth round, but Fury appeared to cut his head as a result of a clash of heads in the clinches with a deep cut potentially impariing his vision but the fight is allowed to continue by referee Bob Williams.

Fury appeared to be affected by his heavy cut eye as he walked forward walking into some shots from Wach's right hand, but he seemed to be in control and applying the pressure going into the 6th round.

Work seemed to be done on Fury in the corner before the round, but the fight was continued to clear by the doctors, but he seemed to have a good round controlling it well from the distance with a solid jab and utilising the distance well.

The British figher seemed to be the much neater, busier fighter in the seventh now producing some smooth work landing left and rights at will against a struggling Wach who appeared to struggle with the adjusted movement and distance.

With the last round bell rung, Fury continued to try and box with technique and ability offf of his back foot as Wach tried to up his performance and walk Fury down in the closing stages to try and force any kind of stoppage of his own but had little success as Fury continued to outwork his Polish opponent.
